Crack the Code: Find Out Which Colour Speaks to YOU!
It is widely accepted that colours can evoke emotions and affect our moods. Warm colours like red and orange can make us feel excited or passionate, while cool colours like blue or green can make us feel calm. Human biology and culture almost certainly influence these emotional reactions to colours. Simply put, warm colours make us feel alert because they indicate danger, while cool colours make us feel relaxed because they mean safety.
Interestingly, in the context of colouring art, colour and mood are connected to people as individuals. Things like personal experiences, cultural background, and physical characteristics are all thought to affect how people feel about different colours. Almost everyone has a favourite colour, but it is worth considering what influences our specific emotional response to various colours.
Over time, you may discover that you have a core group of colours that you like to use, and how you mix and match those colours, when colouring, may give you an insight into your underlying mood. This form of self-discovery will hopefully bring an extra depth to your colouring that will help you focus more fully and consider your well-being more deeply.
The great thing is that enhanced awareness will help to amplify the calming/mindful effects of your colouring.
